The following are the rules and procedures. Please read this before you continue.

Rules for broadcasting on wr979

1. If you have 3 unexcused show absences in a row or if you miss 2 required meetings, you will be automatically let go. If you no you are not going to be able to do your show, we ask that you let us know with in 24 hours when possible. If you miss a meeting, you will be required to listen to the meeting later. Please send an email to management, or leave a message on the toll free number when notifying us of absences. If you are more than 15 minutes late for your show you are considered absent unless you have spoken with management ahead of time.
2. Only Mention fellow DJ’s by DJ names when you are on the air, unless you no they are ok with you using there real name or if they have used it on air.
3. There will be no bashing anyone on the air. This includes DJ’s, listeners, people in your personal life, etc. Also, no racial bashing will be tolerated.
4. There will be no mentioning of other stations on the air with the exception of any stations that no longer exist. You will not get in trouble for accidentally mentioning another station’s call letters on the air unless it's too frequently.
5. There will be no harassment of any DJ what so ever. This includes but not limited to constantly bugging people to listen to your show, talking about subjects they are uncomfortable with (Especially sexual ones), and in general not leaving them alone if they ask you not to bother them. Any cases reported to management will be taken seriously. How ever, when reporting to us you must provide some form of proof such as chat logs, recordings, etc. You must also be prepared to confront who you accuse in front of management.Management will not act on past cases since you are making the dicision to come on here knowing that you have had problems with a staff member in the past. We will be on the look out for problems but unless any occur we will not act.
6. The DJ will be primarily held responsible for there content. Management will step in only if we feel that the show in question is not what we want for this station.
7. Do not simalcast with out obtaining permission from both us and management from the other station. If the other station grants permission they must notify us themselves via email before getting okayed by us. There permission does not guarantee ours.(Please note that you are bound by our rules, reguardless of the other stations.

Consequences and final notes

If you violate any of the policies with the exception of the harassment policy you will be given a warning the first time and let go the second time. If you are let go it is usually permanent as you have proven yourself to not be what we want for our station.

If you violate the harassment policy you will either get a warning or let go immediately depending on the case.

Please note, if you were let go from hot979/kfuzradio, please send an email to with your full name, DJ name, why you were let go, and why we should hire you back. We will let you know via email if you should then fill out the application or not. If we do not except you or you fill out an application anyway we will not respond.

New broadcasters, we do offer help in getting started. You will want to be familliar with either the full version of winamp for basic broadcasting, otherwise if you want to sound professional and have some money to burn we recommend station playlist studio. Both programs are screen reader friendly, talk to management about a station playlist discount which includes a payment plan.

All applicants will be required to audition before you will be excepted. New applicants, this will give you an opportunity to get used to things, and veterans it's your opportunity to shine!! (Note, auditions are open to the public on server 2 so anyone could be listening.)
